Catholic Health Hosts Second Annual WomenCare Day of Health

Event features speakers on health, wellness, and body image

Catholic Health will host its second annual WomenCare Day of Health – Be Strong, Be Happy, Be Healthy, on Friday, October 18 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel in Cheektowaga. The event, which features women’s health specialists and empowering guest speakers, invites area women to enjoy a relaxing and informative day devoted to their health, wellness and personal style.

In addition to presentations on topics ranging from nutrition, pelvic health and body image, the daylong program includes a heart-healthy breakfast and lunch, chair massages, female-focused exhibits, shopping opportunities, and numerous raffles and prizes. New this year, three lucky women will be selected to receive a complete “Image Makeover,” including hair, make-up and personal styling from Macy’s and DiLusso Salon & Spa.

The day’s featured speakers include:

· Sylvia Regalla, MD, Nutritional Medicine Pioneer

· Kathleen Frachetti, MD, Endocrinologist

· Kathleen Aebischer, BSPT, Women’s Pelvic Health Expert

· Lydia Kirsch, Personal Image Consultant with Macy’s

· Linda Pellegrino, host of AM Buffalo and Breast Cancer Survivor

“Women make most of the healthcare decisions for their spouses, children, and parents and think about themselves last,” said Aimée C. Gomlak, FACHE, vice president of Women’s Services for Catholic Health. “The WomenCare Day of Health gives them the opportunity to focus on their own needs in a fun and informative atmosphere.”

All area women are invited to attend the WomenCare Day of Health. Doors open at 7:45 a.m. and seating is limited. Ticket donation is $30 ($250 for a table of 10), with all proceeds benefiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Sisters of Charity Hospital and Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
